Which are the best airports to fly into?


There are 3 airport hubs you can choose to fly from Newark EWR   John F. Kennedy JFK  Laguardia LGA and then you can take easy transportation into the city.   Once you are able to find your way, you can always get here! There is no direct transportation to the hotel unless you ride a cab or  uber or split a cab with someone coming in at the same time.  For those that would like to take a shared cab/uber, make sure to join the NYC ZOUK FESTIVAL chat if you have not.  To save money, you can utilize public transportation which is highly recommended because you can explore NYC a different way. PLUS NYC IS MADE FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND IT'S EASIEST.  It is also the cheapest, but be prepared to travel light! Below see the various ways you can get into the NYC.


When using the subway or bus where should the drop off point be?

Because there is no shuttle service to the hotel from the airport, we recommend that your drop off location into the city be NY 34th street PENN STATION located at the intersection of 34th Street and Seventh Avenue .  Once you are dropped off or you have arrived at NYC Penn Station, then you can walk 6 minutes again to the NYC ZOUK FESTIVAL center. We recommend if you use public transportation such as the subway or bus system  (NOT CAB OR UBER) plan to arrive at 34th NY PEN STATION. You can then walk to the hotel or venue from there which is about a 6 minute walk. Explore the restaurants and get an idea of what's around. You will love all the excitement. HOW TO GET INTO THE CITY FROM MY AIRPORT?

As a reminder remember that NY Penn Station will be your drop off point unless you are taking an Uber or Cab. Once you get off at 34th Station walk to where the NYC ZOUK FESTIVAL center is or your hotel.


AIRPORT 1 - NEWARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT


OPTION 1: Transit Easiest - Its a shuttle and a train stop that's it! In order to get into the city from Newark, it's pretty easy, so make sure you pack a suitcase with wheels for easier mobility. Once you arrive at newark you will pick your bags up at baggage claim. Make a note of your terminal.

C) New York Penn Station (third stop/last one)  PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH NEWARK PENN STATION

After you get your luggage:


DIRECTIONS

STEP 1) Find out how to get on AIRTRAN. It costs about $8.00/ per person to get on it.  

STEP 2) Get on Airtran and get off at Newark Liberty Airport Station (in Red on map to the left)

STEP 3) Purchase NJ TRANSIT Tickets to NEW YORK PENN STATION (NOT NEWARK PENN STATION)

STEP 4) once you get to NY PENN STATION 34th street take taxi to your desired location, or you can walk to the main hotel which is aboutA 6 minute walk.

AIRPORT 2 - JFK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT


OPTION 1) - CHEAPEST and  easy after you do it you'll never look back cause its pretty easy. AirTrain JFK is the cheapest way to travel to, from, and around Kennedy International Airport and the MOST EFFICIENT.  It serves as a shuttle between terminals & parking lots, and connects to several subway lines. It costs $8. You pay at the end of your ride when your about to get onto the subway (which will cost an additional $2.75). There are plenty of machines you can use to purchase your tickets using cash & credit card, and you can purchase a metro card to use for the rest of the weekend at the same time. Again get off at NY Penn station then you can walk to the venue about 6 minutes or take a cab.


OPTION 2) Private shuttle services, buses to and from Manhattan

Go Airlink NYC   https://www.goairlinkshuttle.com   24 hours a day (around $25 to ny penn station  from JFK)  When you complete form you can put JFK to NY Penn and then once you get into NY Penn Station walk to NYC ZOUK FESTIVAL center or hotel. 




OPTION 3) -  Uber or Cab which will be the most expensive, but share rides to make it easier and less expensive if you can.




AIRPORT 3 - LAGUARDIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT


OPTION 1) Best budget and one of the easiest once you do it is taking public transportation. We recommend that you get to NY PENN STATION and then walk to the NYC ZOUK FESTIVAL main venue or hotel.
